Did you ever wonder how a saxophone is made??????

I have played instruments all my life and was always curious as to how they were made. I know you are probably wondering how they are made too!!!!! Today you will get your answer! In the Chardon Polka Band I play the saxophone and the flute. Today we get to see how a saxophone is made! Take a look at these super cool pictures and then watch the awesome video of a saxophone being made!

Every saxophone's parts look exactly the same!
This picture shows some of the keys and springs before they are put on to the instrument.

This worker has to put the keys on to the saxophone! SO MANY KEYS! (20-23 depending on the type of saxophone!)

This picture shows a super old factory where saxophones were built! They are even hanging from the ceiling.

Who knew a saxophone was so much work to make!

These huge metal presses bend the brass into the perfect shape.

So many different parts!

Check out his AMAZING video! These workers turn a sheet of brass into a beautiful saxophone! I think that is crazy cool. These metal workers are EXTREMELY TALENTED. Everything they do has to be done just right in order for the saxophone to work well when it is completed. You will see in the video how they check over their work multiple times. At the end of the process, the new saxophones are even tested by a professional to see if they play well!

Did you know???????  -Adolphe Sax invented the saxophone in the 1800's.

I am so happy that Adolphe invented the saxophone!!!!!! Now I get to play my tenor saxophone and create super fun polka music on it everyday!!!!!
